Golden Island Cottages

The oldest resort on Inle, the Golden Island Cottage chalets sit out in the middle of the lake and offer a very authentic stilted resort experience. Whilst facilities are very simple – there’s no TV or temperature control – but the staff are immensely friendly, and if you’re looking for sweet, down-to-earth accommodation in absolutely stunning surroundings, this might suit you perfectly. Rooms are a fair size and most have a small outside space.
There is a restaurant and bar area, ideal for socialising with other guests, and the sunrise views of the nearby floating village are amongst the best on the lake.
